Caleb Update

Wow this pregnancy is going crazy!! I starting having contractions Wed. at my weekly dr. appt. They gave me a shot to stop the labor. I was also put on bed rest and was told to get a lot of rest and stay off my feet. My contractions returned Sun. night. These contractions were hurting so bad - I thought I was going into labor. We rush to the hospital - false alarm. I'm having contractions but I'm not dilating yet. They gave me another shot and sent me home.

I went to my weekly ultrasound/dr. appt. today. They measured the baby and he weighs about 9.9 lbs. I am 35 weeks pregnant - he should weigh around 5 1/4 lbs. While waiting on the dr, I started having contractions again. Not dilating yet!! They put me on a monitor. Dr. gave me some meds to control the contractions. This will provide me with some comfort.

Caleb is fine. He's actually doing great! However, I am in a lot of pain. My back hurts so bad. My stomach is sore from caring this huge baby. I can barely move. I can't sit or lay down in a comfortable postion. I have never been in this much pain in my life. There is no way I'll be able to have this baby "naturally". The best thing is for my water to break and they will do a c-section. I'm seeing a specialist next week to determine why Caleb is so big. Hopefully, my water will break soon and I can have this baby. I don't know how much more pain I can stand. But he's worth it - Caleb is worth the pain.

Caleb Update...

My back has been hurting really bad. I'm having a little trouble eating. And Caleb is in a position that is really causing a lot of discomfort. I have starting having some braxon hicks contractions. I cannot sleep and I'm having some trouble staying focus on my work. I have been ordered by the dr. and Lloyd to take it easy and get plenty of rest. Here's the big shocker: I am "32 weeks" pregnant and our baby should weight around 3 lbs. Our baby weighs 6.4 lbs!! I believe my due date is wrong - but the dr. are leaving my due date the same - Dec. 29.

Caleb is measuring at around 39 weeks. There are 40 weeks total in pregnancy. They said that if I were to go into labor within the next 3 weeks, they would stop my labor. After the 3 weeks, if nature takes control, we could be holding our baby boy. Caleb's head is really low. However, I have not started dilating yet. I will begin going to the dr. every week now for them to monitor me and Caleb. So Caleb could be here as soon as Thanksgiving.

I have always felt that my due date was wrong. But the dr. insist that it's right. I am very shocked over the news. Don't get me wrong, I want Caleb here now. But the thought of "giving birth" scares me a little. Please pray for us. We'll keep you posted!!!
