Hold on...

Well, Lloyd got my car back yesterday. He's not happy with it. We decided to try to trade it in or sell the car and get something more dependable. I still have the rental car :( No word yet on what we are planning to do. We just pray that the Lord will provide us with a clear path thru this crazy time. Updates will be provided.

Busy Christmas

Lloyd and I had a very busy Christmas. We had church services on Saturday and Sunday, one lunch party on Sunday, and 5 parties on Christmas day. Lloyd and I were so exhausted on Christmas day. I decided to take tuesday off to relax. And I am glad I did. I had lots of fun with Lloyd on tuesday. We just chilled out and played with our toys. Lloyd got lots of cool guitar and xbox 360 stuff. I got a pink Nintendo DS with lots of cool games, season 6 of Golden Girls, seasons 1, 3 & 4 of Reba. It was really nice to get such great gifts. I also got lots of things to decorate my house with. Lloyd and I had a great Christmas this year.

Sophie Will Drive Again

My sister asked me about my Sophie (my car that was in a wreck a couple of weeks ago). Lloyd informed me the other day that Sophie has 2 new doors on her passanger side. Looks like Sophie will also get a new coat of paint - the new doors are red and that would totally throw off her "Silver Bullet" appeal. I believe that repairs are going just fine. Looks like Sophie and I will be reunited by the end of this week. I am really looking forward to driving my car again. I have been driving a rental car while Sophie is getting repaired. Needless to say, I hate that car. The rental doesn't want to start half of the time and it really stinks on the inside. I wonder who had that car before me. No, I rather not know that piece of info. So, yea Carrie. Sophie will drive again and I can't wait to have her back! (Wow, I never thought I would be saying that!)

Check this out

Hey Ya'll! I asked Lloyd to fix his link to his blog on the left. As some of you probably know, I could not access Lloyd's blog here on my blog. So, I asked Lloyd to fix it and he fixed it. Thanks so much Lloyd! Lloyd has a cool blog - mostly nerd stuff - but still cool. Lloyd also offers technical support on his blog. Drop him an email if you need help with anything.

A Man To Be Proud Of

I am so proud of my husband. Lloyd is so awesome. Lloyd is always there for me when I need him. He listens to me when we talk and he goes out of his way to make me happy. While watching tv, Lloyd will rub my feet from time to time. We laugh and cut up lot. If I ever have a computer question, I go to Lloyd. Lloyd makes sure that our house is running properly - fixing any repairs that I call to his attention. Lloyd is even a master at burning leaves. Lloyd is there for his friends and family whenever they need him. Lloyd is a faithful man. Not only to me, but to his friends, family, church/work, and his Creator. I love to hear Lloyd pray. Weather it's over meals or at night when we lay down to sleep - I know that Lloyd's prayers are sincere. I respect my husband for the man that he is and for the man he wants to be. I am so proud of Lloyd. I love him with all my heart and I know I would be lost without him.

I said all of that to say this: Lloyd is the man when it comes to websites, computers, and just about anything nerds would love. Yea, Lloyd is a nerd - but he's my nerd. I love a nerd. Anyway, Lloyd has been working on the NewSpring website day and night for what seems to be months. And finally, we all get to enjoy his work. Check out the site here. It is so awesome.

GREAT JOB LLOYD!!! YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!!!

Battles

Have you ever felt depressed and you don't know exactly why? That is how I am. Looking at my life, I don't understand why I feel so blue. I'm in great health, I've got a great (no, awesome) husband, friends and family, 2 very crazy dogs, and 1 lazy kitty. My house is decorated with all sorts of Christmas things. And my Christmas shopping is 98% done. Things are going great! But for some reason, I'm not happy. I really think that the devil is putting bad thoughts into my head and I am taking a very hard hit (mentally and physically). I feel like my life is not worth anything. I feel like the things I do are worthless. It has to be evil satan - trying his best to spoil my holiday spirit. And as much as I hate to say this, at times I feel like he is winning this fight. But the battle is not over. With God's help, I am sure that I will be able to come through this victorious. The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.

Sophie Update

A lady from our insurance company came out to give Sophie a visit. The lady informed us that Sophie is initially not totaled. This will allow our auto mechanic to pull apart the wounded Sophie and determine how much it would take to repair her. If the repairs cost are higher than expected, then Sophie will be totaled. If not, than Sophie will get repaired. Will Sophie drive again? Well, we'll know something soon.

Is 6 Enough?

In my last post, I told you about a wreck I was in on Friday night. This makes a total of 6 car wrecks I have been in. Here is a quick run down for you.

  1. I hit the back of a van at a red light (my fault - got a ticket)
  2. I ran though a fence and almost hit a tree (no ticket was issued here)
  3. I ran into a van (my fault - recieved a broken wrist and a ticket. I also took out a phone booth!)
  4. I got hit by a drunk driver (not my fault)
  5. I hit another car head on pulling into my driveway (my fault - spent a few days in the hospital and recieved a ticket)
  6. I got hit when another car ran a stop sign. (not my fault)

So, after all of that you would think I'd be a pro at auto accidents. Well, I pretty much am. I also hit a deer - but not counting that as a car accident. The deer caused that bump, not me or another driver. Some advise from me about car wrecks: The best way to prevent injury during a car wreck is to go total limp upon impact. This allows your body to flow with the wreck and not jerk around so much. Or you could just stay at home.

Poor Sophie

For those who do not know, Sophie is my car. My car suffered a wreck on Friday night. I was driving down a road when another car ran a stop sign and hit my car. Not sure if Sophie will make it - but we'll know soon if she's totaled or not. She suffered a pretty hard blow to the passenger side and both air bags make their first time appearance. Sophie did a great job of protecting me during the wreck. I will let you know if Sophie makes it out alive or not soon.

A Golden Lady

Here is something interesting that I found today. Estelle Getty (aka Sophia) from the Golden Girls has her own website. I think it's awesome. But you would have to be a die-hard Golden Girls fan to truly enjoy this site.
