Wasting Time

I have found a great way to waste some time. Sometimes, it gets really slow here at the office, so I rely on this. Hope it cures your boredom.

Gotta Have It

I love this stuff. I've got to get more. I can't get enough. Don't listen to my husband - he doesn't understand. I got to get more! I need this. Christmas is just around the corner. (wink wink)

What a Weekend

I cannot believe what happened over the past weekend. First of all, Clemson won against North Carolina. The score was 52-7! Go Tigers!!! I only thought I was pumped up over the win, that was until Sunday rolled around. I attend one of the most amazing churches: NewSpring Church. Yesterday over 8,000 people attended church (breaking every record we had) and 214 people were saved. I cannot believe it. God is amazing. That is all I can say. God is truely amazing. If you want more info about what happened check out our pastor's blog. I cryed when I read his post. God is amazing.

Another Year Older - More To Smile About

Oh I am so blessed with a great family. Last Thursday was my birthday. I got some great gifts. I know that getting gifts is not what birthdays are all about - but it's a big part. I got a Clemson watch from my Hubby - loved it. I got scrapbooking stuff and a peanut butter cake from my parents - loved it. I got a gift card from my Sis - loved it. And Vera Bradley from my in-laws - loved it. Oh yea, I got money from everyone else - really loved it. Didn't I tell you I got some awesome gifts! We went out to eat and had a blast.
And speaking of having a blast - my dogs are living it up. We got a kennel that my in-laws had moved to our house. The kennel was built on a huge slab of concrete (Jack won't be able to dig his way out of that thing). Oh Carson and Jack love being together. I watch them play and rest together. I think they like it better than being tied up on a runner. They are having so much fun. So, what prompt us to get the kennel? Well, Jack got off his runner on Wednesday and ran away. If you remember correctly, it was raining like crazy on Wednesday. When I noticed he was missing, I went walking around the neighborhood in the pouring rain. I decided that I should get in the car and drive around to look of him. Jack ran up behind me as I went to unlock the car. I was so happy that he was home and safe. But I was so angry that he ran away. I praised him for coming home and loved on him for a few minutes. But later, I fussed at him for running away. Jack looked so sad. I really think that Jack knew that he made me sad. I am so happy that Jack came home and I told Lloyd we have to get the kennel moved. I couldn't go through that again. I love my dogs so much - I don't want them to run away or get hurt. So, Lloyd and I got the kennel moved. Jack and Carson love it. Plus, they are safer in the kennel and I know they won't get out. But knowing those dogs, they are having to much fun playing around to worry about getting out.

Cooler Days

I can't wait for Fall. Lloyd and I love the Fall season. One reason, we love the cooler weather. The other reason (and maybe the best reason), Clemson football. Well, Lloyd is not to impressed with the Tigers right now. But I love to watch the games. We are huge Clemson fans. So, what has gotten me so excited about the changing season? Well, it was cooler today than normal. When I stepped out of the house and felt the cooler air blow across my face - I got excited. I am sick of the hot weather. I'm ready for Fall - I even got my Fall clothes ready!

Oh yea, big props to my hubby. He has been so awesome lately. Well, I better rephrase that. Lloyd is always awesome. But lately, he has been more awesome than normal. He has been taking special care of me since I got this poison ivy. Plus, he made some changes to my blog for me. I think he did a great job. I could never do all the cool stuff that he can do. Oh, I love him so much. Thanks Lloyd for the changes to my blog and for taking care of me. What would I do without you?

A Day to Remember - September 11, 2001

I will never forget where I was 5 years ago today. I was at home watching a talk show (I think I was watching Sally). I didn't have to go to school that day - I had classes on Mon., Wed., and Fri. back then. I was resting up because that was going to be my first day working at the daycare. Anywho, I was watching TV when a news breaking interupted my show. At first I was mad - but when I saw what was going on I just sat and cried. In tears, I watched the first tower as it had just been hit. Then I saw the second plane crash into the second tower. The World Trade Center was under attack. And all I could do was cry. I wanted to do so much more - but all I could do was cry. I will never forget the pain, sorrow, and anger I felt on that day. A part of me still holds the same feelings. As I watch the news specials today, I continue to pray for the families who lost someone on that sad day. I pray that God will continue to provide comfort to all the families and to our country.

My Breaking Point

Well, I finally broke down and went to the doctor today for my poison ivy. I also had an allergic reaction to some new soap we are using. My side was swollen up and looked very bad. And the rash was spreading down my legs and across my stomach. I couldn't stand the itching any more. I've tried just about every cream there is - but the rash continue to spread across my body. Yea, things have to be really bad for me to admit that I need medical treatment. So, I broke down and told Lloyd that I needed to go to the doctor. Once he saw my side and stomach he agreed. I got two spots in the butt and I have to take an allergy medicine for 30 days. I also have to avoid hot water. Yea, no hot showers or bathes for me.

We're Back

Lloyd and I return from Disney World on Wednesday. We had so much fun. Lloyd and I got lots of well deserved rest. Our hotel room was awesome. The parks were fun too. I still can't over the amount of screaming children, baby strollers, and people who speak different languages. We saw all the Disney characters. I got my pic made with Tigger!! That was awesome. Maybe I can get some pics up of our vacation.

Okay, we do not live in a perfect world. Something did go wrong on our vacation. We didn't mind the traffic on the way down. And we didn't stress over the over price food. (We kind of expected things like that) However, we did not plan on me having poison ivy. I had two small bumps on my thumb. Over the course of the week, the bumps on my thumb got bigger and spread everywhere I touched. I have poison ivy on my arm, on my side where I pull my pants up, and all over the back of my leg. I can't seem to get this under control. Someone told me that poison ivy doesn't spread - well, I here to tell you that's a lie. Wherever the infected area touches, the poison would spread. Please pray that this stops. I am itching all over! I got some Caladryl Clear to put on it. Hopefully, that will help. If you have any ideas, let me know. I could use all the help I can get!
